(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 27, in Vinh city, the Religious Affairs Committee (Department of Home Affairs) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the tradition of the State management of religion (August 2, 1955 - 2015).

Attending the event were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, permanent representative of the Provincial People's Council, provincial departments and branches, generations working in state management of religion through the periods.

The commemorative speech reviewed the 60-year tradition of operation and growth of the State management sector on Religion associated with the historical periods of the country. In Nghe An, from 1992 onwards, religious work in general, including State management work on religion, was advised by the Provincial Party Committee's Religious Affairs Committee and the Religious and Ethnic Affairs Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee to the Party Committee and the government. Through the revolutionary periods, generations of religious workers of the Party, government, and Fatherland Front have overcome countless difficulties and hardships to fulfill their tasks, making worthy contributions to the cause of building and protecting the homeland, consolidating the great national unity bloc.

Recognizing the important role of state management of religion in the locality, the Provincial Religious Committee and the religious departments at the grassroots level have advised the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, local Party committees and authorities to promptly and in accordance with the law resolve the legitimate and legal religious needs of religious organizations and individuals, such as: ordination, conferment of titles, appointment, transfer of religious dignitaries; construction and renovation of worship facilities; organization of major ceremonies...

Up to now, the whole province has built and restored hundreds of churches, rooms, catechism schools and other places of worship; separated 29 parishes and 44 parishes of the Catholic Church; established the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province; restored 45 pagodas and built 1 Buddhist prayer hall.

Mr. Phan Dinh Suu - Head of Department PA88 (Provincial Police) hopes that all levels and sectors will continue to pay attention to state management of religion.

The legitimate and legal land needs of religious establishments have also been basically resolved satisfactorily and in accordance with the law, nearly 97% of religious establishments have been granted land use right certificates. The work of mobilizing followers and winning over religious dignitaries has received special attention. The relationship between the government and the church, religious dignitaries and officials has been built and strengthened in the direction of trust, sincerity, confidence, and high consensus in resolving religious needs and complicated and complicated issues, contributing to maintaining political stability, security and order, and promoting socio-economic development of localities.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that cadres and civil servants in the State management of religion will continue to promote tradition, actively improve their expertise and skills to improve the effectiveness of religious work in the new situation.
