Improving the effectiveness of applying scientific research projects.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 20, 2013, the People's Committee of Nghe An province organized a scientific workshop on the 5-year implementation of the Project "Research in Social Sciences, summarizing practical experiences, and building scientific arguments for policies and guidelines of the Party Committee and government to promote the industrialization and modernization process of Nghe An in the period 2008-2010 and up to 2020" (abbreviated as Project 899 on research in Social Sciences and Humanities) issued by the People's Committee of the province. Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the province, chaired the workshop.

Over the past five years, Project 899 on Social Sciences and Humanities Research has been implemented with 10 research topics, 7 workshops, and scientific tasks. The content of these topics covers many fields of economics, society, culture, science and technology, party building, government, and the political system at the grassroots level in a scientific manner, consistent with practical realities.

The workshop focused on seriously evaluating the achievements and shortcomings in the implementation of the project's various groups, such as the group on historical, cultural, and human issues in Nghe An; the group on national defense and security issues in Nghe An; and the group on ethnic and religious issues in Nghe An. The workshop also outlined tasks and solutions for research, practical summation, and development of social sciences and humanities in Nghe An province for the period 2014-2020 and up to 2030; emphasizing solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of research and practical applications in Nghe An.

Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien highly appreciated Project 899 for its contribution to the socio-economic development of Nghe An province in recent years. The Vice Chairman requested the Department of Science and Technology, the Nghe An Center for Social Sciences and Humanities, and scientists and experts to closely follow practical realities and continue implementing projects under Project 899 in the new context, aiming to contribute even more actively to the socio-economic development of the province.
