Improve the effectiveness of applying scientific research topics

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 20, 2013, the Provincial People's Committee organized a scientific workshop on 5 years of implementing the Project "Research on Social Sciences, summarizing practices, building scientific arguments for policies of the Party Committee and the Government to promote the industrialization and modernization of Nghe An in the period of 2008 - 2010 and until 2020" (referred to as Project 899 on research on Social Sciences and Humanities) issued by the Provincial People's Committee. Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the workshop.

Over the past 5 years, Project 899 on Social Sciences and Humanities Research has been and is being implemented with 10 topics, 7 seminars and scientific tasks. The content of the topics covers many areas of economics, society, culture, science and technology, party building, government and political system at the grassroots level in a scientific manner, suitable to practice.

The workshop focused on seriously assessing what has been done and what has not been done in the process of implementing groups of the project such as the group of issues of history, culture, people of Nghe An, the group of issues of national defense and security in Nghe An, the group of issues of ethnicity and religion in Nghe An... The workshop also proposed tasks, solutions for research, summarizing practices and developing Social Sciences and Humanities in Nghe An in the period of 2014 - 2020 and until 2030; in which, emphasizing solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of application of research topics and practices in Nghe An.

Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien highly appreciated Project 899 in contributing to the socio-economic development of Nghe An in recent times. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Science and Technology, the Nghe An Center for Social Sciences and Humanities, scientists and experts to closely follow the reality, continue to implement the topics of Project 899 in the new conditions, in order to contribute more actively to the socio-economic development of the province.
