Improving communication skills on sustainable forest management
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 12, in Da Nang, the Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation Project organized by the United States Agency for International Development organized a training course on communication skills for forest protection officers and members in 7 provinces: Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Son La, Lao Cai and Hoa Binh.
The training course took place over 5 days (from June 12 to 16), and members were supported with research skills on propaganda methods to raise public awareness in sustainable forest protection.

At the same time, share experiences in the process of disseminating forest development, management and protection activities in localities, cooperatives, businesses and communities.
Through the training, members acquired knowledge on developing plans to support the implementation of communication activities, maintaining and increasing forest quality, especially production forests, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Vietnam.

In the 2020-2025 period, the Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation Project focuses on five main objectives, including improving and expanding community forest management models; promoting conservation-friendly businesses in forest-dependent communities; strengthening the law enforcement system for violations in the forestry sector; improving production forest management practices; and mobilizing domestic resources for forest management and protection.
