Enhancing the communication capacity regarding overseas employment for village and hamlet officials.

(Baongehan.vn) -Implementing the Program to support rapid and sustainable poverty reduction in poor districts according to Government Resolution 30a, from mid-January 2013, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Que Phong district organized consultations to improve communication capacity on labor export for leaders of commune People's Committees, labor and social affairs officials, village secretaries, hamlet leaders and youth union secretaries of all communes in the district.

The consultation program included the implementation of Government Decision No. 71/2009/ND-CP on supporting labor export for poor communes under Decree 30a, a summary of the labor export support scheme; guidance on Joint Circular No. 31 on promoting labor export activities in the period 2009-2020; and the provision of loans to poor workers going abroad for employment…

According to the program for district 30a, the total funding for enhancing communication capacity regarding labor export is 150 million VND, of which each commune receives 4 million VND, each district receives 40 million VND for organizational expenses, and 20 million VND for printing promotional materials and audio/video recordings.

Que Phong is a poor district classified under category 30a. Currently, there is a significant demand for overseas employment among the local population, but knowledge and communication about labor export remain limited. The counseling program will be organized by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in stages across all 14 communes and towns in the district, and is expected to continue until January 22nd, completing the program in all 14 communes and towns within the district.
