Upgrade the Cua Lo Tourism Festival to a provincial-level festival.
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 14th, Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, held a working session with the People's Committee of Cua Lo town regarding the draft plan to upgrade the Cua Lo tourism festival to a provincial-level festival. Representatives from the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Planning and Investment, Finance, and Construction also attended.
Over the years, the Cua Lo Tourism Festival (held annually around April 30th - May 1st) has become an indispensable cultural and spiritual highlight for both locals and tourists, enhancing the promotion and attracting more visitors to Cua Lo in particular and Nghe An in general.

However, the Cua Lo Tourism Festival is still relatively small in scale compared to the role of the Cua Lo tourism brand, and has limitations such as: the festival's format is still monotonous, the content is not diverse enough, and it lacks appeal… Therefore, upgrading the festival to the provincial level is essential to enhance the promotion of Nghe An tourism; create conditions for expanding inter-provincial and international tourism; and attract diverse resources for tourism development. According to the project's objectives, by 2015, the Cua Lo Tourism Festival will become a provincial-level festival, and by 2020, it will have a scale comparable to major provincial-level tourism festivals nationwide, becoming a distinctive brand for Nghe An's coastal tourism with nationwide influence. Concluding the meeting, Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh requested the People's Committee of Cua Lo town to seriously consider the contributions to finalize the project, and emphasized that the Cua Lo Tourism Festival plays an important role in the development of tourism in the province, so upgrading it is necessary. To ensure the upgrade is effective, it is necessary to select cultural and tourism events in other localities in the province to connect with Cua Lo tourism, creating richness and diversity for the festival; organize activities within the festival that are easy for people to participate in; and have a detailed plan for mobilizing social resources to invest in and exploit the festival…
