The workshop aims to enhance businesses' responsibility towards consumers, focusing on product quality, meeting hygiene, environmental and health criteria.
This activity also contributes to promoting and raising awareness of all levels, sectors and businesses on protecting consumer rights in general.
The presentations at the workshop focused on the current situation and solutions to implement consumer protection.

Nghe An province currently has 11,868 operating enterprises and 143,479 households participating in business. The volume of goods in circulation is diverse, consumers have access to a wide market, have many choices in shopping but also face the problem of fake and poor quality goods.
However, for profit, there are still organizations and individuals who do not pay attention to product quality, are willing to "circumvent the law", violate regulations on consumer protection... In 2018 alone, Nghe An Market Management Department inspected 5,487 violations in commercial activities, handled 4,792 cases, and collected fines of 15.1 billion VND.
Through this workshop, the business community will be more fully aware of their responsibilities and obligations, meeting the needs and aspirations of consumers. Accordingly, businesses have specific responsibilities regarding product information, contracts, product warranties, recalling defective products, resolving consumer complaints, etc.

To ensure consumer rights, relevant authorities need to step up information and propaganda work; widely disseminate legal policies on consumer protection.
At the same time, mobilize the participation of the whole society in protecting consumer rights; actively respond to the prevention of counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods; focus on using quality products that are environmentally friendly and safe for consumers' health.
