Promote solidarity and fulfill the task of caring for and protecting people's health
That was the direction of comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Health at the conference to review medical work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.
On the morning of July 12, the Department of Health held a conference to review the health sector's work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024 to assess the situation and results of task implementation, and identify key solutions to successfully implement the sector's goals, requirements, and tasks in 2024.
Attending the conference were representatives of the People's Committee, medical centers, general hospitals of 21 districts, cities and towns; provincial centers and hospitals; and non-public hospitals in Nghe An.
In the first 6 months of 2024, Nghe An's health sector faced many difficulties and pressures in managing and implementing the task of protecting and taking care of people's health, namely: The increasing proportion of non-communicable diseases; the increasing and diverse health care needs of the people; population aging; climate change, environmental pollution, water sources causing adverse effects on health; lack of high-quality medical human resources, especially lack of human resources at the grassroots level; limited investment resources; the implementation of autonomy at hospitals increasingly revealed difficulties, requiring appropriate policies and solutions soon...
In that context, thanks to the attention, leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the government; the active coordination with all levels and sectors; and the solidarity and efforts to overcome difficulties of the units, the Nghe An Health sector has well performed the assigned tasks, the targets set at the beginning of the year have all been achieved and are expected to be achieved by the end of the year.
At the conference, delegates focused on analyzing and evaluating the implementation of tasks of the health sector; clearly stating the achieved results as well as difficulties and shortcomings; proposing key solutions to complete plans, goals and tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.
Accordingly, in the last 6 months of 2024, Nghe An Health sector will focus on reviewing and closely following the set targets and tasks, especially focusing on leading and directing the implementation of key tasks; continue to advise and effectively implement the Directives and Resolutions of the Central Committee and the Politburo; Action Program No. 74-CTr/TU dated December 6, 2018 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on strengthening the work of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in the new situation in Nghe An province; Action Program of the Provincial Party Executive Committee to implement Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
Effectively implement the Project "Supporting a number of medical units in Vinh city to develop high technology to make Vinh city become the North Central Regional Medical Center, period 2021-2025" according to Decision No. 1660/QD-UBND dated May 29, 2021 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province; improve the quality of grassroots medical activities; continue to improve the capacity of disease prevention and control; effectively carry out activities in the field of health - population; ensure food safety and hygiene; well manage the private medical and pharmaceutical practice sector.
In her concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Health requested all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to continue to promote the fine traditions of the sector; uphold the spirit of solidarity, unanimity, determination to overcome difficulties, be resolute in action, actively compete to achieve the goals; promote the sense of responsibility of Party committees at all levels, set an example for leaders and all employees to reach the finish line and excellently complete assigned tasks...
The Director of the Department of Health also requested the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to actively coordinate with the health sector in directing the implementation of medical centers on disease prevention and control effectively; well implement the coordination regulations between the health sector and the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns; direct medical units to well perform inspection and examination activities in areas under their assigned responsibilities; strengthen strict management of private medical and pharmaceutical practice, food safety and hygiene; continue to pay attention to investment and support resources for medical units in the area.
