Neymar advises Coutinho not to go to Barca

PSG's new recruit took advantage of the Brazilian national team's training session to advise his compatriot who is being targeted by his old team.

Brazilian daily Estadao revealed that Neymar had proactively approached and talked to Philippe Coutinho about Barca. The new PSG player told Coutinho that this player would not regret Liverpool preventing him from moving to Barca.

Besides Neymar, Coutinho was also caught talking with Paulinho, the fourth most expensive new player in Barca's history, who just moved to Nou Camp in the summer of 2017.

Neymar does not want Coutinho involved with Barca.

Coutinho is one of Barca's two top shopping targets in the remaining two days of the 2017 summer transfer window. The other is Angel Di Maria. However, the possibility of success of the two deals is quite low, because both are pillars at Liverpool and PSG.

The Liverpool star is keen on moving to the Nou Camp. He is said to have faked a back injury to avoid playing the first five games of the season for the Port City team, in an attempt to pressure Anfield officials to move to Barca.

Neymar is not the only one who advised Coutinho not to rush to join Barca. Arsenal legend Thierry Henry once suggested to his junior the example of Luis Suarez, who wanted to leave in the summer of 2013, but agreed to stay and shine.

"I would advise him to follow Suarez's example," Henry told Sky Sports. "Coutinho should stay, have a great season and see what happens next year. Liverpool fans will love him."
