Neymar fades, Brazil helpless against England's young players
In a day of underperformance, Neymar and his teammates were unable to defeat the home team England, which included many young players.
Fielding a very strong lineup, including the return of midfielder Philippe Coutinho, the Brazilian players showed their determination to win. Meanwhile, the host England used many young and inexperienced players, with half of them having less than 10 appearances for the national team.
Despite being inferior in international experience, the youth and determination of the England players pushed the match speed up very high right after the opening whistle. In the 4th minute, Brazil had the first chance but Dani Alves' shot from outside the box was inaccurate. In the 12th minute, Jesus headed the ball from Alves' precise cross, but goalkeeper Joe Hart promptly dived to block.
