Russia warns Poland about possible US nuclear weapons deployment
(Baonghean.vn) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia will not ignore the reaction to the possibility of deploying US nuclear weapons in Poland.

According to RT on April 23, speaking to reporters, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov affirmed that Moscow will not ignore the possibility of deploying US nuclear weapons in Poland.
"The military will analyze whether it was carried out or not. I think, in any case, it will take all necessary retaliatory steps to ensure our safety," Dmitry Peskov said.
"It is clearly not enough for Poland to be a member of NATO. Poland considers itself a nuclear alliance. Moreover, Warsaw is actively involved in the development of NATO's "joint nuclear mission" as a direct supporter of that activity," said Russian Foreign Ministry official spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said in an interview with Fakt that he is ready to agree to deploy US nuclear weapons. According to Duda, such a decision is expected to strengthen security on NATO's eastern flank.
According to the Polish President, discussions on nuclear cooperation between Poland and the US have been going on "for some time".
Russia is transferring tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus and is increasingly militarizing Kaliningrad, leader Duda said.
"If our allies decide to deploy nuclear weapons on Polish territory as part of a nuclear sharing plan to strengthen NATO's eastern flank, we are ready for them to carry out that decision," Polish President Andrzej Duda said in an interview with Fakt newspaper.
According to experts, with the excuse of "restraint" Russia, the US is looking to increase the number of nuclear weapons in Europe. In this context, Poland is the most favorable springboard.
