Russia warns US of risk of severing relations
(Baonghean.vn) - TASS news agency on August 12 quoted the Director of the North American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry - Mr. Alexander Darchiyev as saying that Russia has warned the US that diplomatic relations will be severely damaged and may even be severed if Russia is listed as a "state sponsor of terrorism".

Mr. Darchiyev said that if the US Senate passes the plan to isolate Russia, this means that Washington has crossed the line of no return.
Last month, two US senators, who are seeking to pass a bill to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, visited Kiev to discuss the bill with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the Russian diplomat, if the bill is passed, it will seriously damage bilateral diplomatic relations, to the point of possibly downgrading or even severing ties.
The Latvian parliament on August 11 listed Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism due to Moscow's war in Ukraine, and called on Western allies to impose additional comprehensive sanctions on Moscow./.
