Russia accuses foreign agents of plotting chemical attack in Syria
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 26, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said that major provocations using chemical weapons are being planned in Syria, with the participation of foreign experts.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Konashenkov stated: “Based on information received by the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria today from residents of Idlib, foreign experts (speaking English) arrived in the Hbit settlement in the southern part of the Idlib de-escalation zone to conduct a 'chemical attack' using missiles filled with chlorine gas.”
According to Mr. Konashenkov, these provocations will be carried out in Syria within the next two days, with the participation of foreign agents. The representative of the Russian Defense Ministry denounced: "The airstrike on the settlement of Kafr Zayta, from missile launchers using toxic chemicals is planned to be carried out in the next two days."
Mr. Konashenkov said that the fact that forces outside the region are actively carrying out major provocations in Syria by using chemical agents has made the situation more unstable and hindered the positive momentum in the peace process./.
