"The first scenario is a Russian version of Maidan with the Bolotnyi Square option. Participants are promised informational and political support," TASS quoted Pushkov as saying.

According to the Russian politician, the US is attempting to implement the second scenario. This includes maintaining contact with "the pro-American extremist opposition, including figures such as Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Garry Kasparov, and Mikhail Kasyanov."

“The third scenario is to destabilize the Russian economy in order to create protests, undermining Putin’s prestige and influence. Such scenarios do exist, but the question is whether they are feasible,” the head of the Russian Duma committee questioned.
