Russia accuses British intelligence of staging chemical attack in Syria
Moscow accuses London of staging a chemical attack in the Syrian city of Douma, Russia's permanent representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Alexander Shulgin, said.

Russia also did not rule out Washington's involvement in the matter, he added.
"We are not just 'confirming at a high level', as our Western partners claim, but have convincing evidence that the April 7 incident in Douma did not happen, and that it was all a provocation planned by the British intelligence services, possibly with the participation of our ally Washington, to mislead the international community and justify the aggression against Syria," the diplomat said at a special session of the OPCW Executive Council in The Hague.
