Russia criticizes British foreign minister for postponing visit because of Syria
The Russian Foreign Ministry said the British Foreign Secretary's postponement of his visit showed a lack of understanding of the situation in Syria.
British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson's decision to postpone his trip to Moscow once again shows that talks with Britain have not brought many results, Reuters reported, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Russia's statement came after Secretary of State Johnson announced on April 8 that he would not visit Russia just hours before his planned departure. Johnson had previously consulted with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on how to respond to the new developments after the US airstrike on Syria.
Secretary of State Johnson said that developments in Syria have changed the nature of the situation, and his priority is to continue to contact the US and other parties to prepare for the G7 meeting on April 10-11. The main content is to establish international support for a ceasefire on the ground and strengthen the political process in Syria.
