"Servicemen belonging to the airborne assault group moving in an urban environment are supported by sniper and machine gun crews," the Russian Ministry of Defense said on July 26 when releasing the video.
The video shows Russian paratroopers carrying Kord 12.7 mm machine guns, anti-tank weapons, and sniper rifles to the upper floors of an abandoned building, setting up fighting positions and firing at Ukrainian troops. They then set up mortars in an open field, fired a few rounds, and retreated to avoid enemy counterattack.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Ukrainian forces' firing positions were destroyed by mortar fire, but did not disclose the location of the battle or enemy casualties.
The Ukrainian military has not commented on the information.
Russia launched a special military operation on February 24th aimed at "demilitarizing and defascizing Ukraine." After more than five months of fighting, the British Ministry of Defence assessed that a war of attrition was underway in the eastern Donbass region, including the Lugansk and Donetsk provinces, as well as Kherson, where both sides were locked in a stalemate and neither had gained a significant advantage.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian army acknowledged that Russian and separatist forces "made small advances" in the area of the Vuhlehirska power plant in Donetsk province, the country's second-largest power generation facility.
Russian forces also heavily shelled Ukrainian positions along the front line in the Donetsk province, particularly near Siversk, Sloviansk, Bakhmut, and Kramatorsk, the Ukrainian General Staff said. However, there are no signs that Russia is about to launch a major operation in the area.
