"Imports have fallen due to sanctions... it has become more difficult for Russian consumers and companies to buy Western goods. However, exports are still good, sanctions have not prevented Russia from exporting oil and gas to the rest of the world, and rising energy prices have increased Russia's profits," the publication said.
Therefore, according to analysts, Russia's trade surplus will set a record in the coming months. According to the Institute of International Finance, in 2022 the trade surplus will reach 250 billion USD and more than double the 120 billion USD level in 2021./.
