Russia proposes to deploy cross-border routes with China
Russia and China have great potential to develop tourism by opening cross-border routes.

According to RIA Novosti on September 28, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said at a meeting with representatives of the Chinese tourism industry in Beijing that Russia proposed that China launch cross-border routes.
"Russia and China are long-standing neighbors with good relations. And we like to visit each other. Given the geographical proximity and the development of infrastructure projects, our countries have great potential to develop joint tourism projects," Minister Reshetnikov said.
Accordingly, Russia is looking to talk about cross-border routes and railways, as well as river cruises.
"We propose to include border cities in the tourism program. Infrastructure and transport connections are actively developing there. Another proposal is to launch cross-border routes for both our tourists and tourists from other countries" - Russian Minister of Economic Development.
Mr. Reshetnikov noted that in 2026 Russia and China will launch the world's first cross-border cable car, which "in just a few minutes" can travel from Heihe (China) to Blagoveshchensk (Russia), and is expected to transport up to 2.5 million passengers per year.
“I propose to draw up a list of promising projects, including within the framework of the “Great Tea Way” roadmap,” the Russian Minister of Economic Development added.
