Russia closes Sadovod market, which has a large Vietnamese business.

The Vesti.ru website reported on the afternoon of January 14th that a surprise inspection of the Sadovod market (Bird Market), located at kilometer 14 of the MKAD ring road, a place with a large Vietnamese business community in Moscow, revealed serious violations in the areas of consumer rights protection, as well as hygiene and epidemiological safety requirements. The market will be temporarily closed.

The Interfax news agency, citing a statement from the press office of the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection of Russia (Rospotrebnadzor), reported that administrative violation reports have been filed against Sadovod Market Joint Stock Company for serious violations of hygiene standards and regulations.

Currently, officials from Rospotrebnadzor in Moscow, in coordination with the police and the interior department of the Southeast Moscow district, are carrying out procedures to temporarily suspend operations at the Sadovod market and seal its entrances.

The records of administrative violations at Sadovod Market are sent to the court to impose penalties in the form of administrative decisions regarding the market's operations.

The Moscow-24 television channel reported that Moscow authorities will temporarily close the Sadovod market. Vladimir Zotov, head of the Southeast district, stated on Twitter: "Time is needed to proceed with the closure of the Sadovod market."

Immediately after learning this information, many Vietnamese traders at Sadovod market came to the market to retrieve their documents and belongings.
