Russian manufacturer Sukhoi has just unveiled a prototype unmanned attack aircraft (UCAV) designed to counter US stealth fighters.

Vladimir Mikheyev, deputy general director of Russia's Kret Radio-Electronic Technologies Company, said that the company is cooperating with the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) to develop a new generation of unmanned attack aircraft (UCAV).

He said that the new UCAV model could be used to counter fifth-generation stealth fighters such as the US F-22 or F-35, similar to China's Divine Eagle unmanned attack aircraft.

It is known that this UCAV model will be equipped with an integrated multi-channel radar system that helps it easily detect enemy aircraft. It is also integrated with an airborne electronic warfare (EW) system capable of neutralizing enemy guided air-to-air missiles.

According to Mr. Mikheyev, almost all technologies used on the new UAV model developed by this company apply the most advanced achievements of the project to develop the 5th generation stealth fighter PAK FA T-50 of Sukhoi company.

Referring to related information, it also shows that in May 2014, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Defense Industry Committee Oleg Bochkarev revealed that Russia will soon launch a new generation of unmanned attack aircraft in 2018.
