Russia launches world record-breaking nuclear submarine
Yesterday, Tuesday, April 23, was considered a particularly important milestone for Russia's military shipbuilding industry.
During this special event, Russian President Vladimir Putin, present in St. Petersburg, made a video link with three major Russian shipyards and observed the launching ceremony of the nuclear submarine Belgorod in Severodvinsk.
The nuclear submarine Belgorod is the vehicle designed to carry the Poseidon torpedo - a new generation strategic weapon considered the most fearsome of the Russian Army in the early 21st century.
In addition, Belgorod - Project 09852 is also a super large nuclear submarine, breaking the record of the Russian Navy as well as the world. In fact, the record was set not for displacement but for the length of the ship, up to 184 m (12.5 m longer than the Typhoon).
In addition to the Poseidon nuclear torpedo, the super-large submarine Belgorod is also equipped with many special equipment such as remote-controlled robots and other small manned nuclear submarines. The launching ceremony of the Belgorod marks a new stage in the construction of the Russian Navy.

At that time, at three major Russian shipyards, groundbreaking ceremonies were simultaneously held for the construction of a series of new-generation frigates, frigates, and landing ships.
Specifically, at the Northern Shipyard, Russian President Vladimir Putin personally placed the nameplate for the Project 22350 missile frigate named Admiral Amelko.
Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov laid the seabed for the 22350 ship - Admiral Chichagov. In addition, the next stealth missile ship Project 20386 was also started.
At Yantar, two Project 11711 landing ships, the Vasily Trushin and Vladimir Andreev, were also laid down. Finally, the super-large submarine Belgorod was launched at Sevmash.

It is clear that the Russian Navy is entering a higher development cycle by starting to build a series of large and medium displacement warships, instead of focusing only on the small frigate segment as a few years ago.
If everything goes well, it is expected that in a short time, the Russian Navy will somewhat restore the former glory of the Soviet Union. The road ahead is still arduous but no less glorious.
