Russia unveils the power of the Terminator-3 "destroyer".
The Terminator-3 version can engage all types of targets: airborne, ground, enemy soldiers, or vehicles...
Sputnik quoted Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko as saying that the BMPT Terminator-3 tank support combat vehicle (dubbed the "destroyer") is a unique product with no equivalent in the world.
"This is an innovative design that has undergone several modernizations. The appearance of such a vehicle shows that Uralvagonzavod understands the trends and changes in the format of 21st-century warfare and designs its products according to the modern needs of warfare," said Igor Korotchenko.
According to him, the fact that Terminator-3 was created was influenced by the Syrian campaign, in which previous versions participated in combat.

In addition, the Terminator-3 has an increased gun caliber, is equipped with modern communication systems, and features combat automation. This means the vehicle is capable of operating independently or in groups, supporting tanks in combat under all conditions: on the ground and in urban environments.
Therefore, the BMPT has very good prospects, including in the overseas market - in terms of exporting Terminarora-3 to foreign customers," the military expert said.
In addition, Sergey Abramov, head of the weapons division of Rostec Corporation, owner of Uralvagonzavod, stated that the company has created a new image of the third-generation "Terminator" tank support vehicle, capable of destroying all types of targets.
"Based on the Terminator's combat experience, we are currently considering a modified version of the vehicle, researching improvements to its tactical and technical characteristics and modernizing the chassis. The new product will be able to engage all types of targets: airborne, ground, troops, or enemy vehicles," Abramov said.
According to the owner of Uralvagonzavod, the current versions of the Terminator are being equipped successfully, but further improvements may be made in the future.

| The BMPT Terminator-2 has been deployed to Syria for combat testing. |
According to information released by Uralvagonzavod, the contract to supply "Terminator" missiles to the Russian Ministry of Defense will be completed in early 2019.
If Russia equips itself with the Terminator-3, the Russian army will be significantly strengthened, because even its predecessor, the Terminator-2, has already demonstrated its power on the Syrian battlefield.
The Terminator-2 weighs 44 tons and is equipped with explosive reactive armor that offers superior defense compared to the T-90A tanks currently fighting in Syria. It can protect the vehicle against more advanced guided anti-tank missiles than the TOW-2A. Its engine has a power output of 1000 to 1130 horsepower, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 70 km/h. The range is 700 km.
The BMPT is equipped with a fire control system featuring thermal imaging and an automatic target tracking system, allowing for effective engagement with terrorist fighters hiding in buildings, bunkers, underground shelters, or moving on foot.
According to general assessments, a Terminator vehicle can operate similarly to an infantry platoon or three BMPs; moreover, its firepower allows it to destroy drones.
To enhance combat effectiveness against long-range targets, such as anti-tank firing positions using TOW or Javelin missiles, the vehicle is equipped with a wired drone. This information was of particular interest in 2016 because the vehicle has the ability to attack targets from very far away, and the target does not necessarily need to be visible.
