Russia, Iran and China support restoring nuclear deal
Russia, China and Iran have continued to support the nuclear deal (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, JCPOA), their position has not changed after the US withdrawal from the agreement. This is the joint statement issued by the three countries on the agenda of the 6th meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Previously, AFP news agency quoted diplomatic sources as saying that France, Germany and the UK (EU Trio) had officially submitted to the IAEA Board of Governors a resolution condemning what they called Iran's "nuclear escalation".
“Our countries have consistently and strongly supported the JCPOA... Our support for the nuclear deal has not changed since 2018, when the United States unilaterally and illegitimately withdrew from the deal, and the imposition of illegal unilateral sanctions and the implementation of the policy of maximum pressure on Iran became a turning point for the deal,” Tasnim news agency quoted the three countries as saying in a joint statement.
Russia, China and Iran reiterated that they have made every effort to restore the nuclear deal, and expressed regret that Western members of the deal have chosen a different path, despite promises they had made earlier.
The parties to the joint statement stressed their belief that the provisions of the JCPOA remain in force and noted that full implementation of the nuclear deal could now remove most of the obstacles to Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program, while the IAEA Secretariat would have a broader monitoring tool. In addition, according to the three countries, “there is no doubt that the nuclear deal, when fully implemented, will serve as a tool to limit and reduce tensions.”
