On January 21, in Moscow, the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) led a delegation to pay their respects and lay flowers at the Mausoleum of proletarian leader Vladimir Ilyich Lenin on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of his death (January 21, 1924 - January 21, 2019).

The procession included the entire KPRF leadership, a large number of party members, members of the Lenin Komsomol Communist Youth Union, representatives of many social organizations, and people of the capital and some neighboring areas. The procession carried red hammer and sickle flags, union flags, flags of social organizations, and banners commemorating the career of the proletarian leader. Many young people held high the leader's portrait, walking next to their grandparents, fathers, and mothers.

On the same day, many other cities and regions of the Russian Federation also held activities to commemorate the leader of the proletariat. Fresh flowers in the cold winter were placed at the foot of Lenin's statue and the great thoughts of that genius were once again mentioned with infinite love and gratitude.

US President Donald Trump has launched a series of attacks on Democrats for not accepting his compromise proposal to end the US government shutdown. “Nancy Pelosi and some of the Democrats yesterday rejected my proposal before I even presented it. They don’t see crime and drugs, they only see 2020 which they will not win,” President Donald Trump wrote on Twitter on January 20.

He had previously proposed a temporary relaxation of immigration policies in exchange for Congress approving funding for a border wall, undoing the bottleneck that had caused a partial government shutdown. But Democratic lawmakers said the proposals were unacceptable, unfriendly, and unlikely to succeed.
