Russia's nuclear arsenal capable of destroying the United States makes it an "existential threat" to Washington, US Army Chief of Staff General Mark Milley said. "Russia's nuclear capability makes it the only country on Earth that can destroy the United States," Milley said. However, the US general added that having this capability does not mean Russia is currently planning to use it.
In addition, Mr. Milley also assessed that Moscow could "threaten our interests [the United States-ND] for the next 20 years, in the context of their efforts to regain influence in areas where they have historically dominated, as well as shape the European economy and security structures in their direction".

Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard affirmed that Mexico will not adjust its immigration policy under pressure from the US and is prepared to respond to any situation that may arise at the border with its northern neighbor. Speaking to the press, Foreign Minister Ebrard said that up to now, there has been no record of any action by the US side related to closing border gates between the two countries following the threat of US President Donald Trump.
Mexican officials stressed that any decision that affects the movement of goods and people would cause great economic damage to both countries.

The decision to strip Guaido, the opposition leader who controls the National Assembly, of his immunity came just a day after the Supreme Court of Justice called on members of the Constituent Assembly to take action against the “self-declared president,” citing his alleged incitement to violence and involvement in illegal financial activities. Losing his immunity means Guaido could face criminal prosecution.
Juan Guaido is currently the president of Venezuela's National Assembly and enjoys immunity from prosecution under the law for lawmakers. After the opposition took control of the National Assembly in the 2017 elections, supporters of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro created a Constituent Assembly to nullify the National Assembly's powers.

According to South Korean radio and television, the South Korean government announced on April 3 a plan to build a "peace walking path" that would allow people to walk inside the inter-Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), which is controlled for civilians. According to the plan, the "peace walking path" is an area of the DMZ that is being eased in tension, after the two Koreas withdrew their guard posts and conducted excavations based on the "Minutes of Consensus on the Implementation of the Panmunjom Declaration in the Military Field" on September 19, 2018.
The government will start a pilot program for the “peace walking path” in Goseong County, Gangwon Province, starting April 11, accepting online registrations and selecting the lucky ones by drawing lots. In the remaining areas, the government will develop a plan to ensure the highest level of safety for visitors before deciding whether to open the path or not.

The Philippine Supreme Court has ordered the government to provide documents related to the thousands of suspects killed in President Duterte’s war on drugs, according to the Associated Press. The court ordered Jose Calida, the Philippine government’s chief lawyer, to provide police reports to two human rights groups that requested the documents, the Free Legal Assistance Group and the Center for International Law.
Accordingly, Mr. Jose Calida will have to submit relevant reports to the Supreme Court within 60 days and send copies of those documents to those who co-signed the collective petition requesting the documents to be made public.
