Russia says Germany is being drawn into military activities against Moscow
The Chairman of the Russian Duma said that Germany is increasingly being drawn into military activities against Russia, especially plans to produce missiles in Ukraine.

According to TASS news agency on June 7, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that the German government is increasingly being drawn into military activities against Russia, planning to produce missiles in Ukraine.
“We know that the German government plans to start missile production in Ukraine. As a result, Germany is increasingly drawn into anti-Russian military activities. You understand what this can lead to,” Volodin told German Parliament Speaker Yulia Klockner and leaders of German political parties.
Volodin added that in recent history, Russia has done everything to build effective interaction and develop economic relations with Germany. However, the current German ruling elite has provoked clashes between the two countries. “Whether the German people want clashes to happen or not is another question. We do not want them. But if they happen, we are ready,” the speaker of the State Duma noted.
On June 5, German Chancellor Merz held talks with US President Donald Trump in Washington, the first personal meeting of the politicians. In particular, the German Chancellor called on countries to assume political responsibility and contribute to ending the conflict in Ukraine, and advocated increasing pressure on Russia through new restrictions.
Earlier, on May 26, Chancellor Merz announced that Germany had lifted all restrictions on weapons supplied by Berlin to Kiev. According to the German leader, the United States, the United Kingdom and France have made a similar decision. Mr. Merz did not rule out the supply of Taurus long-range cruise missiles, which Ukraine has long requested.
Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists that Prime Minister Mertz's statements about long-range weapons only provoke the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine.
