The Kremlin said the Russian military “will not sit idly by” and will closely monitor the US plans to increase its forces in Poland and will take appropriate measures to ensure national security is not threatened.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on June 13 that Moscow would not sit idly by. “The Russian military is closely monitoring the US’s moves, is analyzing information and is doing everything possible to ensure that there are no plans that threaten national security,” Peskov said. On the same day, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov warned that the US move in Poland reflects “aggressive intentions,” according to Reuters.
Indonesia holds hearing on 2019 election fraud allegations

Tens of thousands of security personnel were deployed across Jakarta on June 14 as the Indonesian Constitutional Court held a hearing on allegations of electoral fraud in the 2019 election.
The election results showed that the No. 1 candidate pair, incumbent President Joko Widodo and his running mate Ma'ruf Amin, received 55.5% of the votes, while the No. 2 candidate pair, rival candidates Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga, only received 44.5%. Mr. Prabowo declared that he did not accept the final results and filed a lawsuit with the Indonesian Constitutional Court. Previously, clashes between crowds and police during protests after the vote count results were announced left 8 people dead and more than 700 injured.

On June 14, the US military released a video from the US Central Command (CENTCOM) accusing Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps soldiers of removing an unexploded mine from a distressed oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman. The photo shows a mine attached to the hull of the Kokuka Courageous, one of two ships attacked on June 13. CENTCOM spokesman Bill Urban said that an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps patrol boat was present next to the hull and removed the mine.
Meanwhile, Iran has also denied any involvement in the two ships attacked in the Gulf of Oman. The Islamic Republic of Iran Television (IRIB) also posted a video showing the sailors rescued from the tanker attacked on June 13, appearing in a room in a normal state of health. The ship operators have yet to provide an explanation for the explosion or the cause of damage to the Norwegian MT Front Altair and the Japanese Kokuka Courageous.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on June 14 that Turkey would “take measures” in response if Washington imposed sanctions over Ankara’s purchase of Russia’s S-400 missile defense system. “If the United States takes negative actions against us, we will also take countermeasures,” Cavusoglu said when asked about potential US sanctions in an interview broadcast on Turkish TV, according to Reuters.
Foreign Minister Cavusoglu also emphasized: "We have decided on the S-400 issue. Whatever the outcome, we will not withdraw." According to Mr. Cavusoglu, canceling the S-400 purchase agreement is impossible. Ankara's S-400 purchase agreement was signed last year.
