Russia develops weapons using new physical principles
The Russian military plans to apply the latest physical technologies in creating the country's future weapons.

"We plan to add six potential research areas, including space equipment, weapons using new physical principles, military geodesy, hydrometeorology, geophysical support and artificial intelligence to develop weapons and special technologies,"TASSFebruary 12, citing sources from the office of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov.
According to Russian media, "new physical principles" is a term used to emphasize a type of weapon whose lethality is developed based on phenomena and laws that have never been applied for military purposes.
Currently, the Era military technology research facility in Anapa city, southern Russia, is focusing on research in eight areas including robotics, supercomputers, information security, technology and nanomaterials.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said earlier that Moscow continues to work to perfect this high-tech base to help the military implement weapons improvement projects in a closed cycle from conceptual sketching, design, production and testing.
