Russia develops unmanned armored vehicle with 30mm cannon
The new version of Russia's GAZ Tigr armored vehicle uses driverless automatic control technology and can carry 10 soldiers on the battlefield.
Russian defense contractor VPK LLC has developed a remote-controlled version of the GAZ Tigr armored vehicle, which is currently used by the country's army, according to TASS.
The new Tigr is also equipped with a 30mm remote-controlled cannon, and also applies other automation technologies, such as the ability to "self-identify and track targets".
The Tigr vehicle can accommodate 10 soldiers and their equipment. It is still a secret how Russia has integrated all the above modern technologies into the 10-year-old Tigr, but the Russian news agency said that this is a combat vehicle "without similar rivals".
