Russia launches deeply upgraded version of T-90 tank
The UralVagonZavod plant has just released images of the T-90M main battle tank, a deeply upgraded version of the T-90A series.
The T-90M tank still uses the 2A46M5 smoothbore gun with the ability to fire kinetic energy penetrator (APFSDS), high explosive fragmentation (HEF), high explosive (HEAT) and anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM). The vehicle uses a new engine model, with a capacity of 1,300 horsepower. The expected weight of the T-90M is 50 tons, 2 tons heavier than the T-90MS and 3.5 tons heavier than the T-90A.
