Russia is about to put into service a sniper rifle that can destroy targets 2 km away

Special forces of the Federal Security Service (FSB), the Federal Protective Service and the National Guard will be equipped with the new generation Tochnost sniper rifle before the end of this year, Sputnik reported on September 27.
Tochnost is designed based on the T-5000 rifle version produced by ORSIS weapons group and launched in 2011. Tochnost uses two types of ammunition 7.62 mm and 8.6 mm, can shoot down targets at a distance of up to two kilometers.
ORSIS representatives said that Tochnost is designed to operate in harsh climatic conditions such as temperatures below zero or above 50 degrees Celsius. The gun has low recoil, variable trigger weight, is equipped with a sighting system and the barrel is coated with secret materials to ensure accuracy.
