Russia will weaken America after Tomahawk surgery
According to Sputnik, after Russia successfully dissected the "imperial gift" Tomahawk transferred by Syria, the strengths and secrets will no longer belong to the US alone.
This comment was made by Vladimir Mikheev, First Deputy General Director of the Russian "Radio-Electronic Technologies" corporation, to Sputnik, Moscow plans to establish an electronic warfare (EW) system taking into account the technology of the Tomahawk missile.
"First of all, it is very interesting for us experts to observe the practical application of various models of military equipment in Syria, including Tomahawk," said Mr. Mikheev.
Having this missile in our hands, we understand clearly what communication channels it has, how it transfers information and controls it, as well as how its guidance, navigation and positioning mechanisms work."

He noted that Russian experts had the opportunity to assess the level of protection of the mentioned channels. "Having known all these parameters, we can more effectively intercept cruise missiles at all stages of their use in hostilities," the expert added.
Meanwhile, military observer of Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, retired Colonel Viktor Baranez also told Sputnik that Russia has gained invaluable experience in Syria, including in the area of electronic warfare.
"We received a 'royal gift' from Syrian intelligence - an intact Tomahawk missile.
Of course, our experts are very interested in the electronics of the American missile, its electronic brain, generators, blocks and other devices that can help us develop a formula to counter this foreign weapon. And now the American cruise missile is being thoroughly analyzed by our experts," said Viktor Baranets.
According to some experts, the Tomahawk being operated on by Russia will cause this cruise missile to suffer the same fate as the US's top secret RQ-170 UAV program after Iran captured it alive, successfully operated on it, and released a copy.
Iran stunned the US when it unveiled a copy of the RQ-170 UAV in May 2014. Since the RQ-170 was captured by Iran, the country's top experts have begun studying the stealth aerodynamic design of this top-secret UAV of the US Air Force.
A video has emerged showing that Iran has accessed some of the data stored inside the drone dubbed the “Beast of Kandahar” RQ-170. After several unsubstantiated claims, the images released by Iran are the first evidence that they have found something interesting like hard drives inside the UAV.
Deputy Commander of Iran's Islamic Guard Corps, IRGC Hossein Salami told Fars News agency:
"All of the aircraft's memory and computer systems have been decrypted and some good news will be announced in the near future, not only the RQ-170 but also the fact that our forces have completed reverse engineering of this drone."
After Iran's announcement, the RQ-170s almost disappeared from the battlefields and they only reappeared in early 2017 with many differences compared to previous images when it was carrying a large sensor device, while a large panel was attached to the wing of the aircraft.
According to some experts, this device is an active phased array radar system (AESA). The appearance of the RQ-170 at Vandenberg at the time of the NROL-79 launch, many people speculate that the US military is testing new sensors and radars on this UAV model to prepare for overseas deployment missions.
However, since then, the RQ-170 has never reappeared. The disappearance of the RQ-170 can only be explained by the fact that the US has failed with the new application on this advanced UAV, so it is impossible to let them operate again at this time - when the US's opponents have much more progress and electronic suppression.
