Russia tests weapons that make it impossible for the enemy to aim
Zvezda TV channel has just released a video recording the test of special equipment on a Russian warship that can make it impossible for the enemy to aim and shoot.
The special equipment used in this test was the 5P-42Filin optical interference observation stations. The system is designed to suppress visual optical and electro-optical observation channels, as well as close-range weapons used by the enemy against Navy cruisers and boats at night or near dawn.
Zvezda TV quoted volunteers participating in the test as saying: "They could not use their weapons to destroy the target because the firing point was protected by an observation post when placed at a distance of up to 2,000 meters from the shooters' position because it was practically impossible to clearly observe the target.

Up to 20% felt hallucinated, they described seeing only "flickering lights before their eyes", 45% complained of dizziness, nausea, and signs of spatial disorientation.
According to the revealed equipment plan of the Russian Navy, the Admiral Gorshkov and Admiral Kasatonov ships of the Northern Fleet and most of the new generation warships of Russia, especially the Project 11356 ships currently present in the Mediterranean, will also be equipped with the 5P-42 Filin system.
"By then, the enemy can only stand and watch the Russian warship without being able to aim or shoot even at close range. Because the 5P-42 Filin is capable of surpassing night vision technology and laser sensors," a representative of the Russian Navy confidently said.
It is known that in addition to equipping Navy warships, the 5P-42Filin design team also affirmed that this weapon can be used for anti-terrorism and other crimes.
Thus, the 5P-42Filin system, together with the weapons it is equipped with, will make warships like the Admiral Kasatonov have comprehensive offensive and defensive power. According to public information, the Gorshkov-class warships are designed to be multi-purpose, for different missions, namely, air defense, anti-ship and anti-submarine.
The main weapon system for surface combat missions will be the 3M-54 Kalibr, a vertically launched supersonic anti-ship cruise missile system with an estimated range of 400 to 650 km, or possibly the Oniks P-800 missiles launched from vertical launch systems.
Anti-submarine weapons will be the RPK-9 system, along with two 3M89 Palash close-in weapons systems, and the A-192 130 mm gun. The ship will also be equipped with a Ka-27PL anti-submarine helicopter. The Admiral Gorshkov is equipped with a combined diesel and gas turbine engine, capable of reaching a maximum speed of up to 30 knots.
