The "sensitive elements" mentioned in the Oplot tank manual include the infrared sight sensor and the sighting-command system, the ballistic calculation sensor, the initial velocity measuring device of the warhead, the anti-aircraft sight and the air defense system operating cluster.
Earlier, on January 4, The Diplomat newspaper reported that Thailand had decided to refuse to receive T-84 Oplot tanks from Ukraine due to Kiev's delay in delivery. The contract to supply Oplot tanks between Ukraine and Thailand was signed in 2011, worth 240 million USD.
According to the agreement, Ukraine was to supply 49 tanks to Thailand, but by the end of December 2015, Bangkok had received only 9 tanks. In addition, there were also reports that Thailand was not satisfied with the quality of the Oplot tanks that Ukraine had supplied.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian.ru website noted that Türkiye had previously refused to purchase Ukrainian Oplot tanks.
