Russian lawmakers said it is unlikely that North Korea will be able to completely denuclearize before 2021 as it needs international guarantees to complete the process.

Sputniknews reported that MP Oleg Morozov, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian Senate, on March 8 said that it is difficult for North Korea to completely denuclearize before 2021 as it needs international guarantees to complete this process.
MP Morozov stated: "This depends entirely on the guarantees given to North Korea. Guarantees from the US will not be enough. International guarantees are needed, and only then can the abandonment of nuclear weapons be guaranteed... there can be no confidence in a quick solution to the problem and the denuclearization of North Korea."
Earlier the same day, media quoted a senior US State Department official as saying that North Korea could denuclearize during US President Donald Trump's term, which ends in 2021.
The second summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ended last week in Hanoi, Vietnam, without reaching any agreement./.
