Russia claims to have detained three Ukrainian Navy ships
The warships “Berdyansk”, “Nikopol”, “Yani Kapu” of the Ukrainian Navy that violated the state border of Russia were detained, the FSB Public Relations Center told Sputnik.
According to the Department, Ukrainian ships violated the Russian border yesterday, once again committing illegal actions in Russian territorial waters. The Ukrainian ships carried out blatantly provocative actions and did not respond to the legal requests of the border guards of the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) and the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
"Force was used to stop the Ukrainian warships. As a result, all three Ukrainian Navy vessels were detained in the territorial waters of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea. Three wounded servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received medical assistance. There is no threat to their lives," the FSB said in a statement.
A criminal case on "Violation of the state border of Russia" has been initiated.
