Russian and Indian troops conduct training as part of the Indra 2025 exercise.

According to RIA Novosti on October 9, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian and Indian armies conducted practical training at a training ground in India within the framework of the Indra 2025 joint exercise.
"As part of the Indra 2025 military exercise between Russia and India, the participating forces conducted practical training on overcoming obstacles and tactical military shooting at the Mahajan training ground in the Indian state of Rajasthan," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The training was conducted in the harsh climatic conditions typical of Rajasthan. The soldiers carried out live firing exercises in prone and sitting positions, rotating between firing positions. The soldiers practiced shooting at moving targets that simulated the enemy and could record the shots in real time.
"The training sessions allow Russian servicemen not only to practice their professional skills in harsh climatic conditions, but also to exchange experience with their Indian counterparts," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The joint Russian-Indian exercise "Indra 2025" will run until October 15. The main objective of the exercise is to strengthen cooperation between units of the two countries in the fight against international terrorism, including fine-tuning counter-terrorism tactics. Special attention is paid to enhancing interoperability between units and sharing the best methods of conducting combat operations in modern conditions.
On the Russian side, servicemen from the Eastern Military District are participating in the exercises.
