Admiring gourd-shaped grapefruits in the shape of Vietnam map in Hanoi

A gourd grapefruit shaped like a map of Vietnam, along with the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, by old farmer Vo Trung Thanh from Hau Giang, is being displayed in Hanoi, attracting many viewers.

From April 1, 2010, at the Hanoi Friendship Cultural Palace (91 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem), the Vietnam Techmart 2015 International Technology and Equipment Fair took place.

Attracting the attention of many people at the fair was a gourd-shaped grapefruit shaped like a map of Vietnam and the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa owned by Mr. Vo Trung Thanh from Hau Giang province.

With the slogan “Enterprises and Farmers – Creativity and Integration”, the fair attracted more than 600 booths from many provinces and cities across the country.

Mr. Thanh said that it takes 4-6 months to shape a grapefruit.

In addition to the grapefruit shaped like the map of Vietnam, Mr. Thanh also brought a grapefruit shaped like the word Tai. He is known as the first person to create a gourd-shaped grapefruit in Vietnam.

In addition, the fair also displayed many unique and strange fruits. In the photo is the super-productive pink grapefruit of Mr. Pham Van Dung (Thanh Tri, Hanoi) with the number of fruits up to 1,000 fruits/tree.

In the photo is the corn shelling machine of farmer Chu Van Quynh (Bac Giang) with a capacity of about 1 ton/4 hours.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Trong’s (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi) super fuel-efficient motorbike. With only 1 liter of petrol, the engine produced by Mr. Trong can travel 85-95km, saving 40% compared to a normal motorbike.

The cassava peeling machine was invented by Mr. Ha Kim Toi (Phu Tho) with a capacity of 1 ton/1 hour.

Mr. Pham Hoang Thang's (Can Tho) seeder helps sow rice in straight rows, reducing the amount of seeds by 10-15kg per 1000m2 of land.

Mr. Phan Trung Dat's (Dong Thap) straw-pulling machine after composting was made from an old Honda motorbike with a tiller attached. The machine can work for 1 hour, which is equivalent to 1 month of manual labor.

In particular, the Vietnam Techmart 2015 International Technology and Equipment Fair also featured robots invented by Vietnam.

The dragonfly robot invented by Nguyen Duy Linh (Ho Chi Minh City) is 70cm long and has a 70cm wingspan. The robot is equipped with a 360-degree camera and can be used as a decoration in homes and cafes.
