Not only in Japan, but in many places around the world, cherry blossoms begin to bloom, shining brightly in the spring weather.
Cherry blossoms have become a symbol and an indispensable part of Japanese culture. The earliest flowers usually appear in Okinawa in early January, reaching Hokkaido around May every year. But it is not until late March and early April that the whole country is in full bloom.

At the same time, the traditional flower viewing festival Hanami, which has a thousand-year history, begins again. People from all over the world flock to central parks such as Matsumae Park (Hokkaido), Ueno-onshi-koen Park (Tokyo), Maruyama Park (Kyoto), Osaka Castle Park (Osaka), or mountainous areas to see the flowers.

Beyond Japan, other countries in the world are also ready for a blooming flower season. Korea and China are some of those destinations. In Germany, the city of Bonn is often remembered for its flower viewing spots. When spring comes, this peaceful neighborhood changes its color with charming flowers. However, the flower season only lasts for a short period of 7-10 days.
Millions of visitors come to Vancouver, Canada in late spring to see thousands of flowers blooming in pink and white. Flowers bloom along roadsides, parks and streets, making the city of love more romantic than ever.
Another must-see spot is Washington DC, home to over 3,000 cherry blossom trees. In 1912, the US capital received these precious gifts from Tokyo as a sign of diplomatic friendship. Since then, cherry blossoms have been blooming in the US and have become a popular spring destination.
