'Looking' at super thin, super distorted houses on the trillion-dollar road under construction
Built on land cut down during the process of land clearance and road expansion, the architecture of these houses has become distorted and abnormal, some houses have a shape as thin as...a knife blade!
In the capital Hanoi, every time a new road opens, houses with strange architecture appear everywhere because people build them on plots of land that have been cut and deformed.
After the expansion project invested more than 3,100 billion VND, a series of houses with super thin and super distorted architecture have sprung up on both sides of Pham Van Dong Street. In the photo is a "super thin" 5-storey house on Pham Van Dong Street with a width of just over 1 meter but a length of up to tens of meters.
The owner built the strangely shaped 6-storey house on a small, narrow triangular plot of land.
Most of the house owners admitted that after handing over part of their land to the State to expand the road, their families had to build whatever land they had left, even though the shape was distorted.
Many people still try to live in houses with such facades.
