A representative of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank said: "In 2012, Bac A Bank and TH True Milk plan to sponsor a heart surgery program for children in Nghe An province with a budget of 1 billion VND. With this amount, it will help 30 children with heart surgery have the opportunity to live a healthy life to study and develop. During this period, children with congenital heart disease who benefit from the program are those from poor households, near-poor households, difficult circumstances, policy families, families with meritorious services to the revolution according to the regulations of the Ministry of Labor - Invalids & Social Affairs, children in mountainous areas, remote areas, border areas and islands...". Through the Nghe An Children's Support Fund, the necessary procedures will be carried out to carry out a heart surgery program for children with congenital heart disease.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh - Director of Nghe An Children's Fund said: "To effectively implement the heart surgery program for children with congenital heart disease, the Children's Fund will coordinate with districts, cities and towns to conduct a survey of the number of children with congenital heart disease who need screening examinations, and make a list of recommended examinations. Coordinate with hospitals to prepare well for examinations and surgeries for the children, and coordinate with sponsors to visit the children before and after surgery." According to the plan, in August 2012, screening examinations will be conducted, family circumstances will be assessed, subjects will be selected and from September to November, surgeries will be performed for the children. The Provincial Children's Fund will coordinate with prestigious and experienced hospitals in the field of heart surgery such as: Central Children's Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital; Hanoi Heart Hospital; E Hospital; Hue Central Hospital, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City...) to perform surgeries for the children.
