This August, in Nghe An province, Bac A Commercial Bank and TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company once again demonstrated their commitment and responsibility to the community and society by sponsoring a heart surgery program for underprivileged children with congenital heart disease. A representative from Bac A Commercial Bank stated: “In 2012, Bac A Bank and TH true Milk will sponsor a heart surgery program for children in Nghe An province with a budget of 1 billion VND. This amount will help 30 children receive heart surgery, giving them the opportunity to live healthy lives, study, and develop. In this phase, the children with congenital heart disease who benefit from the program are those from poor and near-poor households, disadvantaged families, families with preferential policies, families with meritorious service to the revolution as defined by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and children in mountainous areas, remote areas, and border and island regions...” Through the Nghe An Children's Protection Fund, the necessary procedures will be carried out to implement a heart surgery program for children with congenital heart disease.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh, Director of the Nghe An Children's Protection Fund, said: “To effectively implement the heart surgery program for children with congenital heart disease, the Children's Protection Fund is coordinating with districts, cities, and towns to survey the number of children with congenital heart disease who need screening and compile a list of those recommended for examination. We are also coordinating with hospitals to prepare for the examinations and surgeries, and working with sponsors to visit the children before and after surgery.” According to the plan, in August 2012, screening, family background assessment, and selection of eligible children will take place, and from September to November, surgeries will be performed. The provincial Children's Protection Fund will cooperate with reputable and experienced hospitals in the field of heart surgery such as: National Children's Hospital, Viet-Duc Hospital; Hanoi Heart Hospital; E Hospital; Hue Central Hospital, Da Nang Central Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Central Hospital, etc.) to perform the surgeries for the children.
Sponsoring heart surgery programs for children with congenital heart disease is a practical contribution from Bac A Commercial Bank to the community and society, aiming to build a better society.
