Social Insurance Industry deploys collection of information on social insurance and health insurance participants

(Baonghean) - Participating in the Social Insurance (SI) and Health Insurance (HI) policies ensures social security for the people, contributing to stabilizing people's lives when they are sick, pregnant, have work-related accidents, occupational diseases, unemployed, when they retire and go to the doctor for medical examination and treatment (KCB).

In order to improve the quality of service to the people and apply information technology in the management of social insurance and health insurance as required by the Government and the National Assembly, the social insurance sector is implementing the collection of information on social insurance and health insurance participants and issuing social insurance codes to participants nationwide.

The addition and completion of the information system to issue social insurance codes this time is of great significance in completing the database of social insurance and health insurance participants' contributions and benefits, reducing administrative procedures, and creating favorable conditions for participants when resolving social insurance and health insurance benefits.

Currently, there are still some participants who have not fully completed the “Declaration of participation and adjustment of social insurance and health insurance information” (Declaration) according to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance and the Law on Health Insurance, so they have not been granted a social insurance code. To complete the missing information, the Social Insurance Agency hopes to receive support from the units and participants to fully and accurately supplement the information in the Declaration.

The use of the social insurance code is unique, does not change during the process of participating, paying and receiving social insurance, health insurance and is the last 10 characters of the health insurance card. Participants only need to declare their social insurance code when continuing to register for social insurance, health insurance, check the participation process and write the right to resolve social insurance, health insurance regime.

For example: The newly issued health insurance card code according to the social insurance code is DT-1-01-0118000001, then you only need to remember and report the code 0118000001 to the social insurance agency when doing the procedures.
