The Population sector places people at the center of its mission.
(Baonghean.vn) - Putting people at the center, creating a world where all citizens enjoy their rights and are free to make choices that suit them is the message delivered at the 2019 World Population Day celebration.
On the morning of July 8th, in Dien Chau district, the Population and Family Planning Sub-Department organized a ceremony to commemorate World Population Day on July 11th. After 25 years, the world has achieved many significant milestones, such as the increase in the percentage of women in less developed countries using modern contraception from 15% to 37%, a halving of the maternal mortality rate, and a reduction in the average number of children per woman from 6 to 4.

Celebrating World Population Day is also an opportunity for the Population and Family Planning sector of the province to review the achievements made and the difficulties and challenges that need to be addressed.
Based on that, we propose strong, clear, and specific solutions and actions in accordance with the spirit of the ICPD Conference to create a world where all citizens enjoy their rights and are free to make choices that are right for them.
