The conference "Accompanying customers in using electricity" aims to provide information on customer services, electricity supply situation in 2022, especially in the hot season as well as deploying electricity saving programs to all classes of people.
At the conference, EVN leaders provided information related to the electricity supply situation in 2021, the electricity supply plan for 2022 and customer care work in recent years.
Accordingly, the demand for electricity in the North has always increased rapidly in recent years with an average growth rate of over 10% per year.
In addition to successfully completing the task of providing electricity to serve socio-economic development and people's lives in 27 northern provinces, EVNNPC is also a pioneer in effectively implementing programs on economical and efficient use of electricity, including the load adjustment program (DR) in accordance with the Party's policies and the State's laws.
If in 2019, only 2,440 customers participated in the voluntary load adjustment program with EVNNPC (accounting for 84%), then by 2020, EVNNPC's DR program attracted 3,303 customers to participate (reaching 95.4%) and in 2021, 3,225 customers participated in voluntary load adjustment in 27 northern provinces with a total potential to reduce about 1,000 MW of electricity.

Based on the ability to supply and use electricity in 2022, a representative of the Northern Power Corporation affirmed that the national power system will still ensure power supply for the Northern load.
However, with the forecast of many extreme heat waves, the epidemic situation gradually being controlled, the economy recovering and growing again, it is expected that customers' electricity demand will increase dramatically.

It is estimated that NPC's peak capacity (Pmax) in 2022 could reach 16,950 MW, an increase of approximately 15% compared to 2021. Meanwhile, the mobilization of electricity sources faces many difficulties such as: Fluctuations in input material prices such as coal, gas, and oil have affected the stable supply of fuel for generators; In the Northern region, due to poor thermal radiation, solar power projects are still very limited; Site clearance for power projects is greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Despite many difficulties, EVNNPC leaders affirmed that they will make maximum efforts to ensure adequate electricity supply as well as further develop convenient electricity services for more than 10.86 million customers in 27 provinces/cities in the North (from Ha Tinh and above) with many synchronous and drastic solutions.
