Up to now, the whole province has 82 non-public schools from kindergarten to high school with nearly 2,488 staff, teachers and employees. The main source of income for these schools is from tuition fees.

Currently, a survey by the industry union shows that although no private schools have had to close, 22 workers have had their jobs terminated. From February to April 2020, more than 2,200 officials and teachers of non-public educational institutions have not received their salaries and owe social insurance contributions.

In addition, according to statistics, nearly 3,000 nurses and cooks at kindergartens and primary schools with boarding schools and 326 part-time teachers of Foreign Languages ​​and Information Technology were also affected.

In the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, mutual assistance, and support for students and colleagues in difficult times, the Education and Training sector has called on the entire sector to contribute part of their savings to support and help colleagues in non-public educational institutions; teachers and contract employees who cook, teach IT, and foreign languages ​​in public kindergartens and primary schools who have no income to cover their living expenses due to the impact of the epidemic. The call began today, April 24.

In parallel with the support activities, the Provincial Education Trade Union also sent a report to the Vietnam Education Trade Union and the Nghe An Labor Federation to propose that the authorities include the list of cadres, teachers, and workers of non-public educational institutions and teachers of boarding kindergartens and primary schools in the list of beneficiaries of the Government's support package for workers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

At the same time, it is recommended that the provincial Social Insurance agency postpone insurance payments and not charge late interest during the months of unemployment due to the pandemic, initially February, March, April, May, June 2020, and consult the Government to exempt unemployment insurance payments during the unemployment period due to the pandemic./.
