Nghe An Department of Education is recruiting 829 positions for preschool, primary, secondary school and school staff.

This is the first recruitment round in the 2025-2026 school year. The recruitment aims to ensure that the team of teachers and educational staff is sufficient in number and structure, meeting the requirements of improving the quality of education in the province.

Accordingly, in this period, the Department of Education and Training will recruit 780 students, including 198 for preschool, 249 for primary and 284 for secondary school.

Regarding specific numbers, at the primary level, the Department will recruit 134 cultural teachers, 74 English teachers, 20 IT teachers, 12 physical education teachers, 6 music teachers and 3 art teachers.

Meanwhile, at the secondary level, the Department willrecruitment39 math teachers; 37 literature teachers, 53 natural science teachers (including 20 physics teachers, 17 chemistry teachers, 16 biology teachers), 30 history and geography teachers (including 17 history teachers, 13 geography teachers), 8 civic education teachers, 4 technology teachers, 50 English teachers, 29 computer science teachers, 14 physical education teachers, 12 music teachers, and 8 fine arts teachers.

In particular, in this period, the Department recruited 49 staff positions in schools. Of which, Intermediate Accountant (18), Intermediate Clerk (8), Class IV Librarian (7), Equipment and Laboratory Officer (8), School Health (6), and Education Officer (2).

This is the first time the recruitment of teachers at preschool, primary and secondary levels has been assigned to the Department of Education and Training.

To participate in recruitment, candidates must have Diplomas and certificates according to the standards of the job position, good health and meeting the specific requirements according to the structure and targets approved by the Provincial People's Committee. Cases of loss of civil capacity, being prosecuted for criminal liability or serving a sentence are not allowed to register for recruitment.

The recruitment is organized in the form of two rounds: Examination of conditions and standards (round 1) and oral examination of professional knowledge and skills (round 2), on a scale of 100. Candidates who score 50 points or more and have a higher total score (including priority points) in order of quota will be determined to be admitted. In case of equal scores, the higher professional level will be considered, then the achievement of excellent students at the provincial level or higher in the subject of the recruitment.

In this round, candidates belonging to priority categories according to regulations will have points added to the results of round 2, including: Armed Forces heroes, war invalids (7.5 points); ethnic minorities, demobilized officers, children of martyrs... (5 points); people who have completed military service, police, youth volunteers (2.5 points); union officials who have grown up from the grassroots (1.5 points). If a candidate belongs to many priority categories, only the highest level will be counted.

Application documents include application form, required diplomas and certificates, priority certifications (if any), national high school exam score sheet or university entrance exam score.

For positions that still have quotas after recruitment and contract recruitment according to Decree 06/2018/ND-CP, the Council will consider recruiting people with the next lower results in equivalent positions. Recruitment results will not be reserved for the next term.

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision 3235/QD-UBND to allocate more than 43,000 civil servant positions to educational institutions in 2025, based on the number of students and the number of civil servants available. After being assigned the task of mobilizing, rotating and recruiting teachers according to the 2-level local government model, the Department of Education and Training requested all schools to review and report on recruitment needs.

The review, reporting, and consultation are also the basis for the Department of Education and Training to develop a plan to recruit teachers and staff for the 2025-2026 school year. The proposal is based on the current number of teachers and the number of positions assigned to each school this school year. According to initial statistics, many schools need to recruit 5-10 teachers.

Although the demand for teacher recruitment is quite high, this time Nghe An only recruited more than 800 teachers and staff out of more than 1,000 targets assigned by the Central Government in 2025. This is a solution implemented in the context that although the industry is lacking teachers, it still has to streamline the payroll with more than 1,000 teachers according to regulations, expected to be applied from January 1, 2026. Thereby, to ensure appropriate recruitment, have enough salary fund and meet staff requirements for the 2025 - 2026 school year.

According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training, the first round of admission is expected to be completed before January 20, 2026.
