Transport sector offers incense to commemorate heroic martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - The delegation of Nghe An Transport sector offered fresh flower baskets and incense sticks to express their respect and gratitude to the heroic martyrs.
On the occasion of welcoming the New Year of the Ox 2021, on the afternoon of February 6, the Nghe An Transport sector led by comrade Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the DepartmentTransportationNghe An as head of the delegation came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Le Canal Memorial, the Road 7 - Truong Ke Martyrs Cemetery and Truong Bon National Historical Site.

The delegation offered flowers and incense at the Le Dynasty Canal Memorial in Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District.
During the resistance war against America, Nha Le canal was a vital waterway transport route with important strategic significance.
Here, during the resistance war against the US, more than 1,350 soldiers, including army forces, youth volunteers, and transport sector officers, did not mind rain of bombs and bullets to ensure the supply route to the South was always open, and 130 people heroically sacrificed their lives for the cause of national reunification.

Respectfully bowing to the noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, the members of the delegation vowed never to forget the great contributions of the previous generation, determined to excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party and State.

Next, the delegation offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Martyrs Cemetery of Road 7 - Truong Ke, My Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District. The cemetery is the resting place of 454 martyrs of the Transport sector who died in the resistance war against the US.
Offering fresh flower baskets and incense sticks, the delegation expressed their respect to the souls of heroes and martyrs - those who did not hesitate to shed their blood and sacrifice their youth to keep the roads open, serving the resistance war to save the country, regaining independence and freedom for the nation.

On the same day, the delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the National Historical Relic Site.Truong Bon,My Son commune, Do Luong district; to commemorate the heroic martyrs and youth volunteers who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
During the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, Truong Bon had a particularly important strategic position, connecting the North-South traffic arteries. This place became the coordinates of fire and bombs of the colonialists and imperialists. The army and people of Nghe An fought bravely and many people fell forever to protect Highway 15 to always be open...
Truong Bon National Historical Site - the resting place of 1,240 officers and soldiers who bravely fought and heroically sacrificed to protect the Truong Bon traffic artery. Notably, on October 31, 1968, 13 heroic youth volunteers of the "Steel Squad" of the 317th Youth Volunteer Company heroically sacrificed their lives after a bombing raid by the US imperialist air force.
