The Le Canal Memorial was built by the Nghe An Department of Transport in 1996. After many years of use, this project has deteriorated. In December 2014, thanks to the support of agencies and units in the transport sector, the Nghe An Department of Transport restored the Memorial. In February 2015, the project was completed, becoming a meaningful cultural and historical project, demonstrating the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" of generations of cadres, civil servants and employees of the Nghe An Department of Transport towards the previous generation.
