Agriculture sector deploys tasks in 2021
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2021, the agricultural sector will focus on improving capacity, proactively preventing natural disasters and responding well to climate change; increasing business attraction to link production along the value chain as well as perfecting infrastructure serving agriculture and rural areas.
On the morning of December 31, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize the implementation of the 2020 plan and deploy tasks for 2021 in the Agriculture and Rural Development sector. Comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van De - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Nguyen Tien Lam - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development co-chaired the conference.
Exceeded planned targets
In 2020 - the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, the Nghe An Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has strived to overcome difficulties in natural disasters and epidemics to exceed the planned targets.

Wood and fishery production increased sharply, sogrowth rateThe value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production increased quite well, reaching 4.96%/plan 4.7-5%, GRDP increased by 4.99%, ranking 5th in the country, highest in the North Central region; Forestry production continued to change strongly, forest coverage reached 58.5%. Irrigation work ensured good service for production and people's living requirements, proactively fought against drought, prevented floods and storms, and minimized damage to people.

The total export value of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the year is estimated at over 315 million USD/plan 230 million USD. By the end of 2020, the whole province had 36 communes meeting NTM standards, bringing the total number of communes meeting NTM standards to 281 communes - reaching 68.36%, with 6 district-level units meeting NTM standards. Developing agricultural, forestry and fishery processing, promoting mechanization in production, increasing production value, contributing to shifting the rural labor structure...
Investment attraction has achieved many results, agricultural and rural infrastructure has been invested in, built, upgraded, and increasingly better served production and people's lives. Up to now, the total investment of projects being implemented and approved in the industry has reached over 9,200 billion VND.

Continue to strongly restructure the Agriculture and Rural Development sector
