The Inspectorate sector implements its work plan for 2026.
On the afternoon of January 8th, the Government Inspectorate held a nationwide online conference to summarize inspection work in 2025 and implement tasks for 2026. The conference was chaired by Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh - Member of the Political Bureau, Standing Deputy Prime Minister of the Government. At the Nghe An branch, Comrade Vu Tuan Dung - Chief Inspector of the province, presided over the meeting along with representatives from various departments and agencies.
In 2025, the Government Inspectorate and the Inspectorates of ministries, sectors, and localities closely followed the orientation of the inspection program and the direction of the Steering Committee for preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena at all levels. The focus was oninspection of state management workand inspect the accountability of heads of departments, officials, and civil servants in performing their assigned duties and responsibilities; focusing on areas prone to corruption, waste, and negative practices; areas with numerous complaints and denunciations, and areas of public concern; conducting thematic inspections of projects facing difficulties, obstacles, delays, long-standing backlogs, low efficiency, and risks of loss and waste...

The entire inspection sector conducted 66,032 inspections and audits at 79,894 units. Through these inspections, violations totaling 256,341 billion VND in economic offenses and 1,414 hectares of land were discovered. Of this amount, recommendations were made to recover 210,940 billion VND and 1,027 hectares of land; and other recommendations for handling 45,401 billion VND were also made.387 hectares of land were seized; administrative penalties totaling 2,880 billion VND were imposed on organizations and individuals; recommendations were made to consider and handle administrative violations against 2,187 collectives and 5,400 individuals; and 153 cases involving 108 individuals were transferred to investigative agencies for consideration and handling.
In addition, the entire inspection sector has also monitored and checked the implementation of 7,882 inspection conclusions and decisions, of which 4,655 inspection conclusions have completed 100% of the required implementation. Through this monitoring, functional agencies have recovered 10,938 billion VND and 8 hectares of land; handled administrative penalties against 2,275 organizations and 6,732 individuals; transferred 85 cases involving 73 individuals to investigative agencies; initiated criminal proceedings in 4 cases involving 3 individuals; and issued new, amended, supplemented, or repealed many documents on mechanisms, policies, and laws based on recommendations in inspection conclusions.

In 2025, there were 348,191 visits to state administrative agencies to file complaints, denunciations, petitions, and feedback; administrative agencies received 475,350 applications of all types, of which 371,251 were eligible for processing...
In Nghe An province, during the year, the entire inspection sector conducted 153 administrative inspections; 47 specialized inspections and audits; and 32 inspections of responsibility in the implementation of laws on inspection, citizen reception, complaints, denunciations, and anti-corruption, linked with public service inspections. Through these inspections, decisions were issued to recover 93,126 million VND and 9,583 m².2land; administrative fines totaling 487 million VND were imposed; and recommendations were made to review the conduct of 147 organizations and 548 individuals who committed violations.
The entire province received 7,395 visits from 8,161 citizens; received 11,374 letters and petitions; 329 cases arose; and 290 out of 329 cases were resolved, achieving a resolution rate of 88.1%. Through the resolution of complaints and denunciations, administrative sanctions were recommended against 5 individuals; and 409 m² of land was returned to the State.2land; compensation was returned to 14 individuals totaling 5.339 million VND.

At the conference, many localities and units also offered suggestions to address difficulties and obstacles. Some suggested that the Government Inspectorate should soon issue a guiding circular to ensure consistent implementation after the Law on Inspection 2025 takes effect on July 1, 2025; the necessity of improving and upgrading the national database system software for receiving citizens, processing petitions, and resolving complaints and denunciations, based on its integration with the management and operation of local authorities when implementing a two-tiered local government system, to facilitate updating, using, monitoring, and managing. Some opinions suggested the need for a mechanism to strictly handle cases of false complaints and denunciations; and proposed supplementing legal regulations on more detailed forms of handling cases of incorrect declaration of assets and income...
Delivering a keynote address at the Conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Government Inspectorate and the inspection sector in 2025.
Entering 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Government Inspectorate and the entire inspection sector to implement comprehensively and effectively the laws on inspection and the resolutions, conclusions, directives, and instructions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Steering Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Prime Minister on inspection work. They should closely follow the 2026 inspection program approved by the Prime Minister and meet the requirements of state management and socio-economic development at all levels and sectors to carry out inspection work; innovate in the organization and implementation of inspection plans; and promote the application of science and technology in inspection activities.
Strengthening openness and transparency in inspection activities; improving administrative discipline, order, and public service ethics in inspection activities, especially strictly implementing Regulation No. 131-QĐ/TW dated October 27, 2023, of the Politburo on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena in inspection, supervision, and disciplinary enforcement within the Party and in inspection and auditing activities.
Strengthening supervision, evaluation, and post-inspection handling; effectively implementing legal regulations on the execution of inspection conclusions, especially increasing the rate of recovery of money and assets due to violations, negative practices, and corruption; and accelerating the completion of mechanisms, policies, and laws.
